In 2017, we’re pushing the envelope! This new formula includes more foreign speakers, more discussion time and, naturally, more fun.
On the menu: conferences, networking and workshops
“Our ambition, since the first edition in 2015, has been to place Rennes on the map of major digital events,” says Claire Hardy, the Events Manager for French Tech Rennes St Malo. “Our city has what it takes to shine in this sector: the skills, the economic success, the quality of life.” The changes made to the program were designed with this in mind: “participant feedback mentioned exciting content and a packed event schedule, so we extended the event to span two days in order to provide enough time for workshops, networking events and informal discussions.”
For participants travelling for the event, these two days offer a concentrated, but inspiring glimpse of Rennes: participants in the XL experience will get a taste of the Mabilay and the Opera before ending their visit at the Transmusicales. French Tech’s technological passion, the Opera’s classicism and the electric shock of the Transmusicales come together in the enticingly intense formula that is the XL pass.
Complex subjects and an innovative approach
Since the very first edition, the Digital Tech Conference has attracted a wide audience, including professionals who are not immersed in the digital world in their daily life. “They are not only interested in major digital trends because they work with them, but also because they reflect changes in their activity sectors. We want to give them two whole days of nourishing discussion and learning!” says Claire.
Aymeric Poulain Maubant, the Content Manager for the Digital Tech Conference, adds: “we help participants have a good experience, it’s normal for the event to evolve with them and for them. The Digital Tech Conference is an exploration created from scratch with a view to new forms of transmitting knowledge. Participants can expect an exchange of knowledge, as well as actual output in the Master Classes and concrete learning during the workshops…”
The collaborative energy of French Tech Rennes Saint-Malo
For French Tech Rennes St Malo, the Digital Tech Conference is a key project, and the entire team is involved in the event on a daily basis, in addition to the volunteers who meet every 3 weeks. While robots and blockchain are hot topics in the tech world, the XL formula is designed for humans above all, and the 2017 edition will be the product of the combined energy of the organizers, speakers and, of course, the participants.
In short, the Digital Tech Conference hopes to inspire and broaden horizons, making the event’s impact last well beyond its two days, as Aymeric sums up: “We hope that the public and the experts will continue their reflections, and that the products of these reflections will reach well beyond the borders of the Digital Tech Conference!”
