Eric Gautier is self-taught. After obtaining his BEP (vocational training certificate) in electrotechnics, his career began with temporary assignments in various companies. Passionate about this field, he completed his training, obtaining his BTS (advanced vocational training certificate) in electrotechnics and was placed in charge of new projects. In need of a fresh start and a change of direction, he headed to Germany and became Control and High-Speed Weighing Manager France. After several years on the road, he returned to his native Vendée and joined the sales department of a conveying company to develop its integration business. In daily contact with customers, he sensed the need for engineering solutions. So, in 2004, he set up MG-Tech, specialising in conveying and end-of-line. To bring his project to fruition and develop his business, the group bought MG-Tech Angers in 2007 followed by ID Pack in 2014. These three complementary companies form a group specialsing in automated packaging machines for end-of-line packaging. Convinced that robotics will play a key role in the future, each year the group invests heavily in robotics development. Eric can use his wealth of experience and the time he spent at the IREX in Japan to give feedback on the industrial robotics field and his vision for the future.
