Lecturer at INSA of Rennes – IRISA/Inria
A habilitated lecturer in the IT department at INSA of Rennes, Marie Babel works in the field of robotic assistance for people with handicaps. As part of the Lagadic team in the IRISA laboratory, she mainly leads research concerning driving assistance for wheelchairs, for the purpose of improving both users’ driving performance and the quality of their experiences. Since November 2015, she has also co-directed a thesis, along with the doctor and physical therapist Philippe Gallien, on the assessment of pathologies through the implementation of technical assistance such as driving assistance.
